About Me

Hello! My name is Lucas Haber and I am a Northeastern University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I'm from New York City and am searching for a permanent engineering position. I have always enjoyed pushing myself out of my comfort zone. In fact, one of my favorite parts of college was studying abroad in Thessaloniki, Greece and working abroad in Munich, Germany. In exploring unfamiliar environments, I've been inspired and challenged by classmates, colleagues, and unique opportunities.

My most recent full time engineering position was at arculus, a start-up robotics company of about 100 employees in Munich where I worked for four months on their mechanics team in 2023. At arculus, I worked with a wonderful team on both the finalization and launch of a Red Dot Award winning autonomous goods-to-person robot, the arculee M. I also worked on the conception and design of the next generation of the company's multi-functional fleet, the arculee S. I learned how to be proactive on a small team, navigating an unfamiliar environment quickly and independently and integrating seamlessly with a multicultural team.

Prior to this experience, I worked at Instron in Boston full time for six months as a mechanical manufacturing engineer in 2022 and again on the sustaining engineering team in 2024 on a part-time basis. The creative problem solving, teamwork, and critical thinking were the most enjoyable parts of my time there and encompass all the reasons I chose to study engineering.

Beyond academics, I enjoy exploring independent design work relating to my personal interests. I have recently designed board games in SOLIDWORKS and laser cut and etched them using the  Universal 6.150D. Artistic outlets include painting, drawing, wood-burning, and playing guitar. I skateboard and played volleyball and soccer on Northeastern’s intramural teams. I also participated in the Mate ROV underwater robotics club team, meeting some amazing people and expanding my horizons.
