Over the course of three months, my brother, dad, and I worked to dismantle an old half-pipe and use as much of the salvageable parts as possible in designing and building a new half-pipe.
Here, my brother and I stood atop the decaying half-pipe, ready to dismantle it to collect and re-use any good wood.
Finally finished with demolishing the old ramp, we stood triumphant among the spare parts.
Here are my brother and dad as we began to level the ground for the half-pipe and construct the foundation.
The ramp begins to take shape as the curved sides near completion, the next step is to attach two layers of plywood over the frame of the ramp.
At this point, we had just picked up the "Gator Skins," weather treated panels that would become the top layer of the ramp.
After the arduous process of scoring the "Gator Skins" and carefully screwing them onto the ramp, it was almost time to test it out. All that needed to be done was attach the metal pipe coping and put on the final coats of paint.
